become a web copywriter
i’m a high school senior and i need help on what i want to be?

Well, when I was younger I wanted to be famous, an actress/singer. Now, I don’t think that’s for me. For the last year, I’ve been so interested in web page design. Now, I think I don’t want to be sitting down in front of a computer. My favorite subject is English. I really dislike math. I want to travel and work with successful people. Right now, I’m stuck. Should I go to CDIA at BU and get wed design certificate, and do that for a while, and then go to a 4 yr. college to do something else… I mean I am really into design. I am really creative. Maybe I can major in advertising and business management? Ugh! I don’t know!!! I think maybe becoming a copywriter would be good, it seems cool… and it also involves ceativity. If not, how about starting off as a freelance web designer and then start my own small business… AAAGHH HELP PLEASE!

any advice is greatly appreciated :]

I always knew exactly what I wanted to be, until I was in college. Then I changed my mind. Then I started one career and left after 4 years and went back to school to start over.

My point is that you are still so young that you have time to explore different options. Dont commit yourself to one track. Chances are you will switch careers at least once during your adult life.

Go to school. Take a bunch of general courses for a few years. Dont worry about a major. AFter you take some courses and meet new people and get a little older you’ll have a better idea of where you want to go with yor life.

And remember, nothing is ever permanent.

I wish you the best!!!
