tips for writing for the web
Need Help To Write A Story!?

I have an idea and a big web drawn up for a story. I have a lot of details made up about the main character so far but I was hoping to have a bit of an outline created before I went into too much detail for the rest of the characters. How can I start to organize my ideas? And like separate them into groups (chapters). I don’t think I have a clear plot intact yet so I suppose that should be my first goal.

Any tips on writing would be fab!

Thank you!

Webs can get confusing. Start an outline. Pick your five most important actions in order of occurrence. Starting with the first one, list two or three details that have to happen in order to accomplish the main action. These will be chapters. Go down your list, doing this for each main event. This might help you get some bearing on how your story will play out.

Example:
I: Character Intros and House Fire
1:Bobby and Suzy meet at school. Go on a date
2:Bobby’s father does not approve of Suzy’s family, burns their house down
II: Suzy and Bobby Run Away
1: Suzy won’t talk to Bobby. Bobby wins her over.
2: They decide they are in love and run off to Mexico

You get the idea.
