website design idea
I would like to develop a website. I have no idea where to start. Can some one please point me in a direction

There is very overwhelming information on the internet and I would like to know of legitimate sites that will not charge me to learn this information. I’m looking to get into website design to start a new career at home. Since being a part of “reduction of force” I’m left to figure out something new. With 3 small children I would like to continue to stay home and make a living. Any information anyone can provide that would help me understand a world that seems so complicated would be deeply appreciated. I know I can learn it I’m just overwhelmed with the lingo. Thank you for you help.

I’m kind of in the same boat you are. I want to build a site for myself, but I don’t know really how to build a site besides doing a little something on this program called Frontpage. I don’t have tons of money to spend on a web designer so I’m going to teach myself using books and trial and error. I taught myself how to use Photoshop and now I’m a pretty good retoucher… I think you should do the same- pick up some “how to/dummy” books OR try to save up for a web designer! Good luck :)
